Submit

Our editors recommend that before submitting, you peruse a copy of Gigantic Sequins. We keep our copies inexpensive so that all lovers of art and literature can afford it. They’re $5.00 each in a bookstore or at an event, or if you buy one via our store, they’re $8.50, including shipping & handling. As a writer, you should see what our editors like before choosing what to send. Another way to do this, besides purchasing an issue, is to browse the selected work we have archived.

Gigantic Sequins is currently CLOSED for submissions! We only accept work electronically via submishmash. If you submitted recently and haven’t heard from us in 3-4 months, please send us a query email at giganticsequins [AT] gmail [DOT] com, and we’ll get back to you as soon as possible. We accept simultaneous submissions as long as you tell us (via the above email address) when your work has been accepted elsewhere ASAP. Please only submit once per genre (see each genre’s guidelines) per submission period.

We pay in one copy of the magazine in which your work appears. We retain first serial rights, and all rights revert back to the author/artist upon publication.

Our open reading periods are generally from June 1-September 1 and then December 1-March 1, but these dates are subject to change.
